Turner named Minority Spokesperson for Tourism and Hospitality Committee

State Sen. Sally Turner (R-Beason) has been chosen to be the new Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Tourism and Hospitality Committee during the 102nd General Assembly. Sen. Turner was also appointed as a member of six other Senate committees.

“It is an honor and privilege to be chosen as the Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Tourism and Hospitality Committee,” said Sen. Turner. “Our state’s tourism and hospitality industry has been one of the hardest hit industries since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now more than ever, it is critical to represent the interests of the industry to help ensure it makes a full recovery.”

Sen. Turner will serve as a member of the Ethics, Higher Education, Human Rights, Public Safety, Revenue and State Government committees in addition to her appointed position as Minority Spokesperson for the Tourism and Hospitality Committee. The upcoming spring session will be Sen. Turner’s first legislative session since being appointed to the 44th Senate District seat.
