On June 11, 2021, a contract dispute between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) and Springfield Clinic was made public, resulting in a termination date of November 17, 2021. This termination date applies to the following networks:
- BCBSIL PPO
- Blue Choice Options
- Blue Choice Select
- Blue Choice Preferred
- BCBSIL Blue Choice Tier 1 benefits for the State of IL OAP
BCBSIL provides that Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and MMAI are not affected by this termination date.
As of now, it is unclear whether members can expect a resolution between BCBSIL and Springfield Clinic.
