Senator Sally Turner reacts to the passage of Senate Bill 2412

State Senator Sally Turner (R-Beason) released the following statement in response to the passage of Senate Bill 2412, which changes Illinois’ election process in the middle of this year’s ongoing election cycle:

“As a former County Clerk, who administered elections for more than a decade, I am left absolutely stunned by the Majority Party’s decision to pass massive changes to our election process in the middle of our current election cycle. This legislation will limit the people’s ability to choose who they want to be their representative voice when they head to the ballot box this November. Our nation is built on the fundamental foundation of free and fair elections. Senate Bill 2412 undermines that foundation and is clearly undemocratic.”
